PAA, is a powerful oxidizer and disinfectant. The product we use, Proxitane® WW-12, is USEPA approved for use in municipal applications. It is a chlorine-free disinfectant that decomposes into safe biodegradable by-products (water, oxygen and trace amounts of acetic acid). It does not create halograted compounds or harmful by-products which can persist in the environment. In summary, Proxitane® WW-12 is a truly environmentally benign, "Green Product."
